By submitting this nomination, you, as the nominator (“Nominator”), acknowledge having read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions (“Terms”):
  1. Organizer and Sponsor
    1. The Freelancers Unite Awards (the “Awards”) are organized, owned and sponsored by CO-OP Advertising.
  2. Selection Committee
    1. Nominations for the Awards are reviewed and chosen by the selection committee (the “Selection Committee”).  The Selection Committee will consist of a small group of industry professionals chosen by CO-OP Advertising.
    2. Award recipients will be chosen based on the quality of their work, its ultimate impact in market and their reputation in the industry.  The Selection Committee has the ultimate authority to determine who receives an Award.
  3. Eligibility

    2. The Selection Committee has the ultimate authority to determine whether an individual is eligible for the Awards.
    3. Award winners may be required to enter into further agreements with CO-OP Advertising regarding the Awards. An Award may be revoked or not awarded if an Award winner refuses to sign said agreements or there is any other dispute between CO-OP Advertising and an Award winner.
  4. Nominations
    1. The Selection Committee invites nominations from the public.  Nominations are to be submitted via the Awards website (freelancersunite.ca).  Nominations can be made through either a one (1) minute video or a written submission with a maximum of 2,500 characters (collectively a “Submission”) as outlined on the Awards website.
    2. All Submissions become the property of CO-OP Advertising once submitted.  The Nominator transfers, gives and devises all rights and ownership he/she has in the Submission to COOP Advertising.  Submissions may be used by CO-OP Advertising for any purpose without any remuneration to the Nominator.  The Nominator understands that their Submission may be presented, reproduced, publicized, or broadcast during the Awards ceremony, and/or made available to media for further publication, reproduction or broadcasting.
    3. Nominators or nominations are not private or confidential.  CO-OP Advertising may share or distribute the content or subject (in part or in whole) without restriction.
  5. Submission Date
    1. All nominations must be received by 11:59PM on October 10th, 2016 (“Submission Deadline”) unless a change to this deadline is clearly communicated by CO-OP Advertising through the Freelancers Unite Awards Website.
    2. The Selection Committee is free to nominate individuals after the Submission Deadline or choose individuals who were not nominated, at their discretion.
  6. No Financial Incentives or Prizes
    1. It is understood that there are no financial incentives or prizes being distributed as part of the Awards.
